BOWLING GREEN, KY — TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital, a 211-bed facility serving Bowling Green and the surrounding region for more than 40 years, recently completed a comprehensive lighting upgrade that delivered improved efficiency, working conditions, safety and patient comfort. Before the upgrade, the hospital relied on outdated fluorescent fixtures that had dimmed over time, and had become increasingly expensive to operate. The existing system included over 600 T8 and T12 fluorescent tubes and U-bend fixtures throughout the facility. By participating in TVA EnergyRight’s incentive program, TriStar Greenview was able to replace all existing fixtures with high-efficiency LED lighting.
A lighting upgrade with a bright impact.
The transition to modern LED technology is expected to reduce the hospital’s energy use by over 111,000 kWh annually, cutting operational and energy costs. The project was supported by TVA EnergyRight and by Bowling Green Municipal Utilities with a $4,462 incentive.
